Pomegranate has become very popular in the last decade, especially in the last year. Many claims have been made from treating erectile dysfunction to curing cancer. Below we’ll list some claims that don’t have much supporting evidence or are simply untrue.
Pomegranate Cures Cancer. - Antioxidants have been loosely tied to curing cancer recently, but a direct connection has not been made. Antioxidants do aid in the elimination of free radicals but this does not necessarily mean that it effectively treats and/or prevents cancer. Many alternative medicine practices disagree and strongly believe antioxidants can aid in the fight against cancer.
Natural Pomegranate Fruits and Pomegranate Juices Give You Huge Energy Boost - The vitamins in Pomegranate do provide you with a little extra energy, but nothing supstantial. If you’re looking for the same buzz you’d get from a pot of coffee or a couple Red Bulls, pomegranate can’t help you.
On the other hand, most pomegranate supplements contain your daily dose of vitamin B 12 which does give you a great boost in daily energy levels. These are natural energy boosters and won’t leave you jittery or crashing hours later.
